Licensed Midwife, Lactation Consultant

I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2004 with a degree in community health. After an empowering hospital birth, I certified as a Bradley Method childbirth educator in 2008, and I had my next three babies at home with a midwife. I have experienced many labor scenarios personally, and have helped at over 240 births in home, birth center and hospital settings as a doula, student midwife, and midwife.

In 2018 I started an internship with Mom's Milk BCS and passed the IBCLC exam to become a lactation consultant in 2020. I have been serving families with breastfeeding support for many years.

In 2021, I started midwifery school through the Association of Texas Midwives. I completed the three year education component while training as a student midwife at a busy birth center and a home birth practice. I passed the NARM exam in the fall of 2023 and received my midwife's license in December 2023. I am licensed in Texas and I have my CPM through NARM.

As a midwife, I see clients in their homes for prenatal care. I bring my background as an educator to help prepare you for your home birth. In the event of a transport, I go with you to the hospital. My years as a doula help me advocate for you. During postpartum, my background as an IBCLC will help you with your breastfeeding goals.

Midwifery Philosophy

As a homebirth midwife, my philosophy revolves around holistic and personalized care for every client. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering environment for expectant mothers, ensuring that they feel heard, respected, and fully informed throughout their pregnancy and birth journey.

I aim to empower my clients by respecting their autonomy, encouraging active participation in their care, and supporting their choices. This approach fosters a collaborative relationship where you feel confident and in control of your birth experience.
